Product Description
Tumbled amethyst gemstones are the stars of this Amethyst Princess necklace. This natural beauty is hand strung with care and finished with sterling silver, as is fitting for such rare beauty.
Amethyst is the stone of poets and dreamers, and the birthstone for the month of February. This natural stone shows a range of amethyst color from the pale violet at the crystal heart to the stormy purples found near the molten exterior of the geode. Amethyst is said to clear the way for psychic inspiration and guidance, and to set the creative juices flowing.
This Amethyst Princess length strand measures approximately 18.5 inches long including the finishing clasp. This necklace – from start to finish – was made at my workbench. The stones are tumbled amethyst gemstones; The larger stones are natural and the smaller stones are heat stabilized. Due to the weight of the stones and the way the larger stones were drilled, I used a fine multi strand stainless steel beading wire to create the strand. All additional findings, from crimps to wire protectors and clasp, are solid sterling silver (absolutely NO plated elements). This classic single strand weighs approximately 36 grams (1.25 ounces).
Silver will patina over time, revealing highlights with your touch. This process is natural; Use of corrosive solvents or dips is not recommended.
**Our fine jewelry is always boxed for shipping.**
