This magnificent Mardi Gras necklace boasts three glorious strands of genuine gemstones in the classic purple, green and gold. It’s a fantasy in tumbled natural amethyst, peridot and citrine. Chunky sterling silver findings finish the statement.
Amethyst is the stone of poets and dreamers, and the birthstone for the month of February. It is said to clear the way for psychic inspiration and guidance, and to set the creative juices flowing. Peridot is known as the stone of inner peace and harmony, and it is the birthstone for the month of August. Finally, citrine is associated with November birthdays and the endless warmth and bounty of the sun. It’s influence is seen as the glow of prosperity and abundance.
This is a WhyteWing signature piece, handmade from start to finish. The three gemstone strands are braided, with three sterling beads spaced along the way to ensure the shape of the braid. Wrapped wire secures the sterling silver end caps and clasp. The clasp chain is handmade custom soldered links in 16 gauge sterling.
This magnificent mardi gras necklace measures 20 inches from end to end, with the adjustable clasp chain adding up to 2.25” in additional length. The stones are genuine amethyst, peridot and citrine. The amethyst and peridot gems are strung on fine multi-strand coated steel, and the citrine stones are strung on fine multi-strand coated brass. All other findings are .925 sterling silver. This majestic necklace weighs 4.02 ounces in all.
Sterling silver will patina over time, revealing highlights with your touch. This process is natural; Use of corrosive solvents or dips is not recommended.
