This carved pagoda ring is a dream of beauty, revealed from within a stone. The gorgeous clear natural quartz is reverse carved with a graceful Japanese pagoda. The carving is created on the back of the stone so the curve of the polished front magnifies the crisp detail within. The setting is sterling silver in a minimalist prong approach designed to let the stone speak for itself.
Japanese pagodas were originally Buddhist reliquaries, housing relics and other sacred objects of the faith. Over time, they have lost their original purpose but the form still evokes the peace of a Japanese garden and space for quiet contemplation.
