This is a chain as stunning and unique as the lady who wears it. The chinoiserie tigers eye design uses gemstones cut in a cylinder shape, like a scroll of the Earth’s wisdom solidified into stone. Each scroll stone is capped in brass and joined to an openwork cylinder by a double link chain. The openwork embellishment is known as a Greek Key, though the design is actually found throughout the ancient world, from Egyptian tombs to ancient Chinese buildings and Mayan carvings.
This chinoiserie tigers eye chain is 35 inches overall. It slips easily over the head in a single strand, and I have added a solid brass clasp so it can be enjoyed as a double strand choker as shown in the third photo.
The Greek key beads, end caps and rings are all solid brass. Each scroll shaped tigers eye bead measures approximately 20 mm (.75 inches) long and 7 mm wide. The stones are tested genuine tiger’s eye with all the natural variation you would expect. Total weight for this chain is 54 grams (just over 2 ounces). Our jewelry is polished by hand; No corrosive solvents or dips are used.
**Our fine jewelry is always boxed for shipping.**Please take your time with the photos and consider them part of the description.
