Our clear quartz rosary is five decades beaded on solid brass. The cross and centerpiece are hand cast bronze. The cross reveals a Lamb of God insignia on the back, and an ornate pattern worn by time on the front. In John 1:29, John the Baptist sees Jesus and exclaims, “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” As I worked the stone and metal, I focused on clarity and the fresh delight of a garden washed clean by rain.
Clear quartz is the stone of “tuning in,” and the birthstone for the month of April. It is said to amplify the energy and intention of the holder, filtering out the “noise” of doubt or confusion. Between each decade is a smoky agate, another stone known for stabilizing energy. Smoky agate (quartz) is also known for uncoupling the weight of past pain, allowing you to lay your baggage down and move forward.
This clear quartz rosary measures approximately 24 inches around the loop, with an additional 5 inches for the pendant from the centerpiece to the bottom of the cross. The centerpiece itself is 20 mm and the cross is 50 mm. That translates to .75 inches and 2 inches (respectively) in golden bronze. The wire work and chain are solid brass. Overall, this rosary weighs 48 grams.
Bronze will patina over time, revealing highlights with your touch. This process is natural; Use of corrosive solvents or dips is not recommended.
