Product Description
This gorgeous Persian cuff is shining with sterling silver structure and intricate .800 silver filigree details. Each panel features a single green turquoise stone set with prongs created by individual filigree loops. The loops overlap to form a lattice, securing and embellishing the stone.
This is a beautiful, well balanced bracelet. Six full panels are finished with tapered panels at each end for a total of eight sections. The detail, in particular the fine setting given to each stone, requires a great deal more skill and attention than similar pieces made later in the 20th century. This piece was likely created much earlier near the turn of the century. Likely it was offered to well-heeled travelers completing their Grand Tour with a stop in the exotic Middle East.
Each panel panel in this green turquoise bracelet measures 22 mm from top to bottom and 25 mm parallel to the length. It was tested to confirm .925 sterling silver in the heavier gauge, and .800 silver in the filigree detail. The bracelet appears to be in beautiful condition. The overall length is 7.75 inches and the weight is 27 grams. This piece was hand polished with soft brushes to clean the filigree; No corrosive solvents or dips were used.
