Product Description
This Halcyon Days Mallard Duck enamel box was among the earliest pieces created by Bilston Battersea for Halcyon Days Revival. The hand painted enamel design features a mated pair of mallard ducks passing the time among the reeds in this tranquil waterway.
Mallard ducks are monogamous, and in may cultures they are a symbol of stable partnership. In China, for example, they are a sweetheart gift on Valentine’s Day, and the word “ducks” is a colloquial term for happily married couples.
This Halcyon Days mallard enamel box measures 2” diameter by .75” tall. The box is in lovely condition with unblemished enamel and finding in good working order. It comes complete with the original velvet lined display box. This early revival trinket box and it’s display box have become quite rare, so don’t miss this chance!
