Our Mother and Child rosary is a five decade holy rosary created with love. Pray the mysteries on amazonite, and hematite. The hand wrought bronze cross features Madonna and child, while the centerpiece is a romanitic view of Mary alone.
Amazonite is the semiprecious birthstone for the month of March. While precious Aquamarine is the stone of fair winds and following seas, Amazonite embodies the nature of the river. Always flowing – sometimes gently and at times with terrible force – much like a Mother’s love, now that I think of it.
The Mother and Child cross and Romantic Mary centerpiece are hand cast in my studio. The wing charm below the centerpiece is my WhyteWing signature tag, also in bronze. Sterling Silver plated to hematite stone and wrapped wire beading complete the scene.
This rosary measures approximately 34 inches around the loop, with an additional 6.5 inches for the pendant from the centerpiece to the bottom of the cross. The stones are amazonite with hematite between each decade. They are approximately 8 mm each. This is a larger rosary weighing just over 2 ounces.
Bronze will patina over time, revealing highlights with your touch. This process is natural; Use of corrosive solvents or dips is not recommended.
