Unique inlaid pendant with an unmistakable kinship to my favorite Pink Floyd album. It’s a modern aesthetic created with the traditional techniques found among the Pueblo tribes of the American Southwest. This piece is unsigned and the design is non-traditional so it’s a challenge to pinpoint the source; Both the Navajo and Zuni tribes have produced a wealth of inlaid jewelry.
The center is triangular featuring turquoise, onyx and coral inlaid against a mother of pearl ground. This centerpiece is suspended within a larger sterling triangle, drawing on the ideas of kinetic art and negative space to make this one of a kind necklace.
Measured at the outer triangle, dimensions are 50 mm from top to bottom (approximately 2 inches) and 30 mm wide at the base. The chain you see is included with the pendant. It is a 1 mm box link chain in sterling silver measuring 22 inches long. The total weight of chain and pendant together is 8 grams.
