Product Description
Beautiful sterling silver Siamese dancers charm shaped as a pyramid with a ceremonial dancer in a different pose on each side. The niello enamel work is done in stark black (higher sulfur content than the gunmetal or dark silvery-gray niello). The effect is that dancer stands out like a gem against the night sky. The niello surface is in lovely condition.
This charm belonged to a family member, so I am confident that it dates to the 1940’s. It is a little larger than more modern charms, and of course the detail is what you would expect of fine niello pieces made in Siam. It is shaped like a pyramid in three dimensions, and the image is etched into the brilliant shine of sterling silver.
This charming trio of silver Siamese dancers is polished and ready to grace your wrist. It is 1.25 inches tall and weighs 5 grams in sterling silver.
