Product Description
Solid sterling silver Sock and Buskin bracelet charm, the timeless international symbol for thespians and theater lovers of all ages. Laughing and crying come with the journey through the arts… Here’s hoping there is more laughter than pain!
Sock and Buskin theater masks are two ancient symbols of comedy and tragedy. In Greek theater, actors in tragic roles wore a boot called a buskin as a sign of their higher status; Comedic actors wore a thin-soled shoe called a sock.
This sock and buskin charm is beautifully cast in graceful, expressive lines. From tip to tail, as they say, it measures approximately .75 inches and weighs 2 grams. This piece is marked .925 to indicate sterling silver. It has been polished by hand; No corrosive solvents or dips are used.
**Our fine jewelry is always boxed for shipping.**
Please take your time with the photos and consider them part of the description. Charms are properly installed when the jump ring is soldered closed.
