Product Description
Lovely embroidered ballet slippers, poised to keep you on your toes! These sterling silver pointe shoes are “embroidered” with sterling silver braid and their soles are carefully scuffed to grip the floor. All that’s left is for the Prima Ballerina to take the stage!
The music, strength and grace of ballet takes us on a journey with each performance. Pointe shoes (or toe shoes, as they are sometimes called) were designed to allow a dancer to dance “en pointe” on the tips of her toes to an extended period of time. Like a ballerina’s pose, this charm is beautifully sculpted in fine handcrafted detail. It’s a family piece so I can say with confidence that it dates from the 1940s or before.
From tip to toe, these ballet slippers measure .75 inches long and weigh 4 grams. Our sterling silver jewelry is polished by hand; No corrosive solvents or dips are used.
**Our fine jewelry is always boxed for shipping.**
Please take your time with the photos and consider them part of the description. Charms are properly installed when the jump ring is soldered closed. Let me know if you have any questions and feel free to check out the many dancing treasures available in my shop! Purchases from the WhyteWing website benefit The Trevor Project, but if you are more comfortable shopping through a platform like Etsy, these ballet pointe shoes are listed there as well.
