Product Description
This sleek, leaping wild horse is all curve and motion, from his strong sculpted muscles to the flow of his mane and tail. The ancient Greeks portrayed their steeds with such fine slender faces and bodies; This inspired true era art deco vision takes the same path.
This is a statement piece, measuring 110 mm from nose to tail (that is approximately 4.25 inches) and just 32 mm from the top of the mane to the foreleg below, which is the tallest point. Cast in sterling and marked on the back, this is a solid piece, weighing in at a well balanced 28 grams. The clasp is a sterling C clasp, and both pin and catch are original, dating this piece to the early 1920s. There is no artist signature or hallmark beyond the Sterling stamp. This graceful brooch was polished by hand; No corrosive dips or solvents were used.
