Product Description
Sterling silver two fish medallion featuring pierced work and a faceted outer edge. The Pisces is the 12th sign of the zodiac, belonging to anyone whose birthday falls between February 19th and March 20th. The lore surrounding the two fish image usually leads back to the Pisces constellation. The two celestial fish represent Venus and Cupid in Roman mythology, who transformed themselves into fish in order to escape the monster Typhon.
This charm is carefully hand pierced and worked in much greater detail than most cast charms. It is a 180 degree piece, meaning that the front side shows greater detail, while the back side shows the silhouette along with the stamp indicating sterling purity. My best estimate based on the workmanship is that this charming piece dates from the 1960s or before.
From tip to tail, this silver two fish measures charm approximately 15 mm long and weighs 1.5 grams. It has been polished by hand; No corrosive solvents or dips are used.
**Our fine jewelry is always boxed for shipping.**
