This vintage sterling wedding chapel is a real charmer. The silver church is crafted to show the details of a stone exterior and high peaked roof. The design opens with a hand crafted hinge and clasp. Inside the chapel, a tiny sculpted bride and groom kneel for a blessing.
This charm is beautifully sculpted in much greater detail than most modern charms. It’s a family piece so I can say with confidence that it dates from the 1940s or before. The hinge and clasp are in excellent working condition and the chapel itself is just lovely as you can see in the photos.
This sterling wedding chapel measures approximately 22 mm. That translates to .75 inches long and it weighs 3 grams. This piece is marked on the base of the hinge to confirm .925 sterling silver content. It was polished by hand; No corrosive solvents or dips are used.
