Product Description
The Victorian era held a fascination with Egypt hand in hand with their study of the natural world. Jewelry made from genuine Egyptian scarabs was an exotic gift for the ladies of the day.
This brooch is created from three genuine scarab beetles set in an open back bezel so the iridescent scarab bellies are revealed. The hard green carapace glows with a more subtle iridescence in the same tones of rose and pale green.
The shamrock design measures 35 mm across. The bezels, bar and C-clasp are all warm golden brass with patina suitable to the age. It weighs 2.3 grams. Limited polishing of the setting was done by hand; No corrosive solvents or dips are used.
**Our fine jewelry is always boxed for shipping.**
