Product Description
This modern artisan brooch is meant to evoke Victorian posies, and succeeds with a profusion of repousse blooms. Each flower is diamond etched, creating facets that catch the light. The centerpiece is a sweet aqua turquoise stone in a simple rub over setting. The back includes a low profile pendant bail for occasions when you’d rather wear this bouquet as a necklace.
Interest in the language of flowers soared in Victorian England during the 19th century. Gifts of blooms, plants, and specific floral arrangements were used to send a coded message to the recipient, allowing the sender to express feelings which could not be spoken aloud in Victorian society.
This petite Victorian posies design measures 42 mm wide. That translates to just over 1.5 inches. The back is marked sterling and lightly etched with the initials CJ. Overall weight is 7 grams. Our jewelry is polished by hand; No corrosive solvents or dips are used.
**Our fine jewelry is always boxed for shipping.**
